A FAITH-BASED, CLIENT-CENTERED COUNSELING PRACTICE
We have therapists with Christian education and worldviews, but they are person-centered in their therapeutic approach and will only incorporate Christianity into this approach when requested to do so by the client.
The first session is pretty simple. The therapist will ask a series of basic, surface-level, “yes or no,” “one-word” or “one-sentence” answerable questions about your basic contact information, your current situation, your family, and your personal life history. The first session is just a starting point for you and your therapist to get to know one another
We wish there was a specific number of sessions to use as a heal all. However, that is just not the case. Everyone is different, therefore, everyone will need a different number of sessions. This can range from a few initial sessions to on-going weekly or bi-weekly sessions for years to come. The decision of whether to stay in therapy or discontinue therapy rests in the same place where it started, your decision. The most important thing to us is that you get the help you need when you need it and as long as you need it.
Our therapists are trained to help guide you through whatever situation is at hand. They will help you develop healthy habits for coping and dealing with issues. They will help you decide what is best for you based on how you're feeling.
